Introducing Clarvida: A Brand Transformation Designed to Triple Community Impact

Leading national provider of behavioral health and human services unveils new brand identity and ambitious plans for growth.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA, June 1, 2024 – For more than 50 years, Pathways Health and Community Support, LLC (“Pathways”) has been a leader in providing accessible, community-based care and support services for individuals with behavioral health, mental health, and social needs. Through a broad range of services—such as outpatient therapy, foster care and child and family services, autism services, and supported housing and employment—the company bridges the gap between the huge need that exists within communities, and the resources currently available from government agencies.

Today, Pathways is reintroducing itself as Clarvida.

“Clarvida is more than a new name: It’s a commitment to expanding access to the resources we all need to thrive,” said Steve Wigginton, CEO of Clarvida. “The only way to increase our impact is to grow. To do this, we must change the way we operate and modernize our brand and technology, in order to recruit and retain more of our incredible service providers.”

The new brand identity is at the heart of the company’s vision to triple its impact and serve 180,000 clients annually by 2030. To achieve this ambitious goal, Clarvida is: expanding access to essential services; cultivating talent who can deliver quality care; building a tech-forward yet mission-driven work environment; and finding creative solutions to the demand-supply issue which prevents many individuals from receiving the care they need.

Today, Clarvida’s 4,600 employees provide outpatient, in-home, foster care, telehealth, school-based and residential services in 17 states and the District of Columbia, serving 60,000 clients annually. A partner to government agencies and traditional insurance providers, the organization achieves positive outcomes for the most complex cases and challenges, which other organizations are often unable to take on.

The demand for Clarvida’s services is massive, and growing at an accelerated pace. A 2022 study by the Kaiser Family Foundation found that 47% of the U.S. population was living in a mental health workforce shortage area, with some states requiring up to 700 more practitioners to remove this designation.

“Our country is facing unprecedented challenges regarding the huge number of people who need our services and the limited number of providers who can deliver care,” said Wigginton. “We see this as an opportunity to think differently and find new, creative solutions. We are dedicated to ensuring our clients and employees alike have access to the care and resources we all need to thrive.”
