- DCS will explain the Licensing/Investigation process
- DCS will discuss when Unusual Incident Reports (UIR’s) should be completed and what should be included in the report
Open to all foster/adoptive and bio parents involved in any Clarvida programs
Group topic is open and will be identified on the night of group, based on the needs of participants
Training credit will be given on topic discussed in group
Define basic LGBTQ+ definitions and concepts around gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation
Review statistics of LGBTQ+ youth and mental health and explore why LGBTQ+ youth are at higher risk for depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation
Review best practices and scenarios participants might encounter when working with LGBTQ+ youth
Continuation of Part 1, including reviewing definitions, statistics and best practices when working with LGBTQ+ youth
