Overview
We operate under the belief that all students have the potential to grow and learn to regulate their behavior, even in difficult situations. Our team’s deep understanding of childhood trauma, mental health issues, and behavior triggers enables us to drive effective treatment interventions to address social-emotional issues in school-based therapeutic services. Clarvida of Delaware’s clinical team uses a trauma-informed counseling approach and provides students with the tools they need to self-regulate and be mindful, confident, and restorative.
Our approaches and practices to School-Based Therapeutic Services include:
Evidence-Based Practices
Clarvida utilizes evidence-based practices to provide a therapeutic approach to individually address the academic, behavioral, and/or social-emotional needs of each student.
Restorative Approach
Embodying a culture of trust and communication, the restorative methodology includes respect, relationships, repair, and reintegration. Clarvida schools and school-based programs embrace these values as our own. We create the space where inclusivity, respect, and acceptance are the norm and our students feel valued and heard.
Comprehensive Individual Service Plans
To identify and address each students personalized needs, we collaboratively develop individual service plans with students and their schools, parents, and districts. Students’ strengths and weaknesses are identified so our team may develop strategies and interventions to address academic and psycho-social deficiencies.
Authentic Therapeutic Relationships
Our foundation is built on strong authentic relationships, and therapeutic rapport is the glue of this model. Clarvida’s team is dedicated to providing an emotionally safe environment for students with difficulty controlling their emotions. These safe environments facilitate a platform for students to express their emotions and have the comfortability to learn new things. We are specially trained to provide a developmentally balanced approach that combines both warmth and accountability. Our training includes setting the appropriate boundaries to avoid dual relationships and dependency.
